Edgespot Construction Sdn Bhd ("Edgespot", "we", "us") operates the website edgespot.pro. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

1. Data we collect

When you submit our enquiry form we receive the name, email address, phone number and project description you provide. If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we keep the correspondence and any photographs you send us for the purpose of preparing your quotation. The site also records routine technical information — IP address, browser type and pages visited — in standard server logs.

2. Why we use it

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, schedule site visits, prepare quotations and contracts, carry out the works you engage us for, and meet our legal obligations (for example invoicing and warranty records). We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Marketing

We only send marketing messages if you have asked for them, and every message includes a way to opt out. Declining marketing has no effect on our services to you.

4. Sharing

Data is shared only where the project requires it: with consulting engineers or council authorities when submissions are made in your name, with suppliers delivering to your address, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires disclosure. All parties receive only the minimum data needed.

5. Retention

Enquiry data that does not lead to a project is deleted within twenty-four months. Project records, including warranty documentation, are kept for seven years after handover to honour our warranty and meet statutory record-keeping requirements, then destroyed.

6. Security

Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it for their role. Records are stored on password-protected systems, and paper documents are kept in locked storage at our registered office.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or withdraw consent to further processing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within twenty-one days. If withdrawal of consent prevents us from performing a contract with you, we will explain the consequences before acting.
